Goodman<\/a><br \/>\nMy rating: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/review\/show\/1064091957\">4 of 5 stars<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cade is the prototypical computer geek, shy and awkward around women, and obsessed with Jody Foster, especially in her role as Clarice Starling in <em>The Silence of the Lambs<\/em>. Jana is a beautiful young FBI agent right out of Quantico &#8211; basically, she&#8217;s Clarice Starling. You just knew these two were going to be thrown together.<\/p>\n<p>This book is pure adrenaline-infused action. It&#8217;s the kind of story that would appeal to a hormone-laden teenage boy who loves first-person shooters, and my rating and this review are made with that demographic in mind. The plot is a mix of James Bond, <em>24<\/em>, and <em>Call of Duty<\/em>. It owes more to the author&#8217;s vivid imagination than to reality, but for those who are more interested in carnage and car chases than realism, this book is for you.<\/p>\n<p>The book is the author&#8217;s first, and it shows. There are eye-rolling moments here and there. The scene where Cade and Jana first meet is particularly cringe-inducing, but it also has a certain charming innocence to it.
