St George he was for England,
\nAnd right gallantly set free
\nThe lady left for dragon’s meat
\nAnd tied up to a tree;
\nBut since he stood for England
\nAnd knew what England means,
\nUnless you give him bacon
\nYou mustn’t give him beans.<\/p>\n

St George he is for England,
\nAnd shall wear the shield he wore
\nWhen we go out in armour
\nWith battle-cross before.
\nBut though he is jolly company
\nAnd very pleased to dine,
